Improving the quality of vocational education in Egypt to provide young people with new career prospects while enabling the local industry to benefit from skilled professionals – this was the main goal and starting point of the Imbaba Vocational School project.
As part of a cooperation project with the Ghabbour Foundation in 2017, the existing Imbaba Vocational School was completely renovated and equipped with modern technology. The SIS Middle East team introduced curricula for automotive mechatronics based on the German dual education system. Theoretical instruction is combined with practical training at GB Auto facilities. The three-year program is certified by the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
Despite various challenges, we have achieved sustainable progress alongside a dedicated team of trainers and teachers, supported by German experts in vocational education. Building on the success of this initial vocational school project, additional schools and disciplines are now being planned.
Meanwhile, we have introduced two additional vocational programs following the German dual education system: vehicle painting and bodywork. This expansion addresses the growing demand for specialists.
